2009 was marked by a lot of dread and uncertainty for many of us.  It has been a year in which getting a straight answer is as hard as its ever been and continues to become even more pervasive.  A year in which even the most consistent parts of our lives have emerged ever more discordant.  A year in which our trust that “everything is going to be alright” has been shaken to it’s very foundation.  The simple act of  “knowing” what we are doing becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing year.  The older I get the younger I feel sometimes.  Personally, 2009 has been a year of little to no gray area for me, a year where one extreme has transitioned violently into the next in the cacophony of my day to day.  Though the ride has been rough, and only promises to be more so it has made me stronger.  I look forward to 2010, as we all should, with hope and the anticipation that the straight answer we so desperately need might be just around the corner.

It’s been a bit since I posted last. My Freelance work has dried up so I got a day job selling skates for lowpriceskates.com and rollergirlskates.comIt’s a pretty dope job though it doesn’t pay very well but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. It’s fun.I’m off to Nebraska this weekend and I’ll try to catch everyone up after I get back.

you know there are times running with the roller derby when you get to do things you would never dream of doing in real life a few weeks ago it was roller skating top speed through a haunted house…this week it was hammered skating at the rink with a beer (man our rink managers in Dallas would freak) Thanks to The Southern Scallawags for making one of my dreams that I didn’t even know existed come true.

Thanks to the Arkansas Killbillies and Southern Scallawags again for hosting us I seem to make this trip the same time every year and it’s always some of the most fun I have all year. And thanks again to the Oklahoma Victory Dolls they always seem to be whereever I go and are always great!

UT FTW, Cowboys FTL  Another rotation ends and another year passes us by.  It’s hard to not be reflective around this time of year.  It was nice to get a break and hang out with family and friends.  Now it’s back to work as another year presents itself full of possibilities.  Fuck it, I’ll get a tray.  spent a lot of time in the studio this holiday seasonnow that IS fucking teamworkthese guys come with a tank, and probably a therapist

The last few months have just been ridiculous. I have been in my new studio a lot and working on a new body of work.  Being back from a long creative block is a really good feeling.  I’ll have pictures up after the weekend of the Boozing Bikes Reindeer Ride in Dallas, and also some of the new work.  Happy Holidays, and I’ll be updating more often I promise.
