2009 was marked by a lot of dread and uncertainty for many of us.  It has been a year in which getting a straight answer is as hard as its ever been and continues to become even more pervasive.  A year in which even the most consistent parts of our lives have emerged ever more discordant.  A year in which our trust that “everything is going to be alright” has been shaken to it’s very foundation.  The simple act of  “knowing” what we are doing becomes increasingly more difficult with every passing year.  The older I get the younger I feel sometimes.  Personally, 2009 has been a year of little to no gray area for me, a year where one extreme has transitioned violently into the next in the cacophony of my day to day.  Though the ride has been rough, and only promises to be more so it has made me stronger.  I look forward to 2010, as we all should, with hope and the anticipation that the straight answer we so desperately need might be just around the corner.

It’s been a bit since I posted last. My Freelance work has dried up so I got a day job selling skates for lowpriceskates.com and rollergirlskates.comIt’s a pretty dope job though it doesn’t pay very well but beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. It’s fun.I’m off to Nebraska this weekend and I’ll try to catch everyone up after I get back. 

I’ll be debuting some new work here in Dallas on Saturday with a whole load of other talented peaople… some of the proceeds got to Falling Whistles if in Dallas on Saturday check it out… 

UT FTW, Cowboys FTL  Another rotation ends and another year passes us by.  It’s hard to not be reflective around this time of year.  It was nice to get a break and hang out with family and friends.  Now it’s back to work as another year presents itself full of possibilities.  Fuck it, I’ll get a tray.  spent a lot of time in the studio this holiday seasonnow that IS fucking teamworkthese guys come with a tank, and probably a therapist

The last few months have just been ridiculous. I have been in my new studio a lot and working on a new body of work.  Being back from a long creative block is a really good feeling.  I’ll have pictures up after the weekend of the Boozing Bikes Reindeer Ride in Dallas, and also some of the new work.  Happy Holidays, and I’ll be updating more often I promise.

moving into a new studio today (ok so it’s a different garage) it’s closer to my front door and it has an extra parking place.can’t wait to move my situation over. 

Mothers Cookies has closed its’s operation no more of this pink and white greatness…I’m going to cry now. 

It’s been far too long but next week I swear I’ll give you the mother of all updates! I’m headed to Boston this weekend with the roller girls and should get some good pictures there as well as everything else that has been happening lately…I’m exhausted and have been lazy…I apologize and will make it up to you…

I haven’t updated in almost a whole month it’s pretty crazy how fast time slips by when you’re not paying attention.  I’ve been pretty busy lately with my professional and derby lives as well as just being exhausted and not wanting to do much with my downtime.  A full photo update should follow shortly maybe I’ll break it into 2 seperate ones…more wrestling to follow so stay tuned.
